Many occasions for amusement and acquaintance with the island´s popular traditions are offered in Amorgos. On the 26th of July, a big festival, where one closely gets to see the way that locals have fun with traditional songs and dances, takes place in the church of Agia PAraskevi in Paradeisia,at the south-western utmost of the island.

Other big festivals are: Agioi Anargyroi on the 1st of July in Tholaria, Panagia Epanochoriani on the 15th of August in Lagkada and Agios Ioannis on the 29th of August in Vroutsi.

Other festivals are: the Panagia Kastriani on the 8th of September and the Agios Theologos festival in Aigiali. On the 14th and 15th of August, a procession of the icon of Panagia (Virgin Mary) Katapoliani takes place in the beach of Katapola, where all fishing boats of the harbour accompany the icon from the sea.
