For yet another year the 6th''UNDERWATER WORLD FILM FESTIVAL'' will take place in Milos. For this year it will be held at the ''George Eliopoulos” Conference Centre, in Adamantas. It is sponsored by the ''Greek Company for the Protection and Management of Marine Biotopes of the Cyclades islands”
The festival will last for three days from 29 of April till the 1st of May and is sponsored by the Municipality of Milos.

As in previous years, the Festival will be held with the support and cooperation of the ''WORLD FESTIVAL OF UNDERWATER IMAGE'' that is annually held in Antibes of France and now continues its successful course in Marseille. The Festival of Antibes is one of the most globally renowned fests in which independent developers and large organizations  are sending for a first view and participate in award contests for their films.
On Friday, the of April 29, a Scientific Meeting will be held about "Creating and Managing Marine Protected Area” in a room of the Conference Centre ''G. Eliopoulos.'' The conference will be sponsored by the Municipality of Milos, the Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas (RAC / SPA) of UNEP, MedPAN, and Agence des aires marines protégées. Lots of distinguished Greek and international scientists, as well as representatives of State and fishermen's associations will be participating.

The organizing of that particular committee is considered as necessary, after the significant steps that are so far taken  to establish and operate a pilot Marine Protected Area in Milos.
