Mykonos is famous for its splendid beaches. In the western coasts of Mykonos, north of Hora, are found the summer settlements of Tourlos and Agios Stefanos, which are extended around sandy beaches. The modern harbour of the island is found in Tourlos.

South of Hora you will find two of the busiest beaches of the island, Ornos and Agios Ioannis, that have been developed in one almost single tourist settlement, and the settlement of Platys Yalos and Psarou , which are built around sandy beaches, constituting today nodal point with a number of services and marine connection with the popular beaches of Paradise  and Super Paradise. In Platys Yalos one can find the catholic church of Panagia from 1668, which is also named Lozaria.

Other beaches are Paraga, Agrari, the Agios Sostis, Choulakia, Lia, Elia, Kalo Livadi, Panormos, Agia Anna, Kalafatis, Ftelia and Kapari.
